Ask the map

A button between the compass and the plus button lets you ask in your own words. Speaking fills the message so you can edit it and send it yourself. It can open the right app, including the settings page you asked for, start a new post, change everyday settings, or search and show matching results in every language the app speaks. When a search finds an item or an event, the map moves to the closest match and opens that pin. A press page, seller insights, profile trust details, and city listing pages are included; other polish and fixes are in Improvements and Bug fixes.

Press kit

A Press page now collects the story, facts, logos, screenshots, and a press contact so journalists can write about TapTrade without asking for a kit.

Listing insights for sellers

Open one of your listings to see how many people viewed it, saved it, shared it, and messaged you about it. Each person counts once a day, and your own visits don't count.

Trust signals on profiles

Profiles now show whether someone is verified, when they joined, how many trades they have completed, and how quickly they usually reply in chat — so you can decide who to meet with more confidence.

City and category listing pages

You can open pages like furniture in Petah Tikva — with real nearby listings, in every language we support.

Improvements (5)↓
  • The home page, city pages, and emails now lead with items for sale on the map. You can still list something for free when you just want it gone.
  • When you post from a photo, titles and prices come through more accurately, including small price tags.
  • After you open a notification, you can swipe it left or right to dismiss it, or tap the X at the bottom to clear all opened ones at once. Notifications you have not opened yet stay in the list and only nudge if you try to swipe them away.
  • The apps drawer, map search, filters, and map overlays can show the map through a frosted glass look — Apple's Liquid Glass on iOS 26 and later, and a live blur on Android 12 and later. Turn it on or off under Settings → Graphics → Glass drawers. On iPhone it stays off when Reduce Transparency is on.
  • Page titles no longer repeat the app name. Every language now describes what’s for sale nearby, the same as English.
Bug fixes (6)↓
  • Pins that match your search stay on the map when you zoom out. They no longer vanish once the map is far enough out that pins turn into grouped bubbles.
  • On Hebrew city pages, the sports equipment category now uses a proper Hebrew name instead of an English-sounding label.
  • City and category pages, such as For sale in Tel Aviv-Yafo, now list nearby marketplace listings instead of showing an empty page.
  • On the web, the sign-in step of account setup now scrolls on shorter screens, and the sign-in options are no longer cropped.
  • Opening or closing an app after the map has been open for a while no longer turns the screen white and reloads the map and pins.
  • Homepage, legal, and listing pages now send their headings and text in the first page load, instead of waiting for the browser. Missing listings return a real not-found page. The map app address is no longer treated as a second homepage.

Changelog

Rate your trades

Rate your trades after you mark an item sold or given away: pick who got it from the people you chatted with, then you can both give a thumbs up or down with tags like On time or As described. Ratings stay hidden until you both rate or two weeks pass, then show on profiles and next to the seller on listings. Vehicle listings can now list features and specs; map filters, shared links, and a large set of map and mobile fixes land in Improvements and Bug fixes.

Vehicle features and specs

Vehicle listings can now call out features like a sunroof, heated seats, a backup camera, service history, or a warranty with a tap, and transmission and drivetrain are picked from chips instead of typed. Opening a vehicle on the map shows a stats row for year, mileage, fuel, and transmission, a Specs section with every detail, a Features list, and who listed it with a link to their profile.

Improvements (12)↓
  • Map filters now have a Regions tab. You can pick several cities or several regions — not both at once — and more cities are listed, including Petah Tikva, Holon, Rishon LeZion, Ashkelon, and Eilat. The Eilat region is labeled Eilat and the surrounding area.
  • Confirm popups now grow from the center when they open and shrink when they close.
  • On Android, the system back button on the map asks whether to shut down the app. Pressing back again closes that prompt; only Shut down leaves the app.
  • Wishlist alerts now include nearby marketplace listings and events from other sites, not just posts created on TapTrade.
  • Shared listing and event links on the web now open straight to the listing instead of a loading spinner. Shared marketplace and event-site links show the full card right away while the map loads behind it, and closing it lands you on the pin.
  • Opening a shared listing or event link in the mobile app now shows the full listing right away, whether the app was closed or already open. The map loads behind it, already centered on the pin, and going back lands you on the pin. First-time visitors see the listing before the welcome screen, can join straight from it, and continue to the welcome screen and map tour when they close it.
  • Free giveaway listings from the Israel marketplace feed now disappear from the map within about half an hour after the item is handed over or the poster removes the ad, so you stop seeing pins for things that are already gone.
  • The theme control in Settings on the mobile app now has a middle Auto option that follows the time of day — light in the daytime and dark at night — matching the website.
  • Listing a vehicle is easier to follow: the details step is grouped into Vehicle, Condition & history, Listing details, and Features cards with helpful placeholders, and the final step shows a summary of your listing with a Show on the map switch so you can keep a listing private before confirming the address. Photo analysis can now also suggest the transmission and drivetrain.
  • Vehicle photos on the map open in a swipeable gallery with thumbnails and a photo counter, mileage shows thousands separators, and your own vehicles are marked as yours. Message seller is a single clear button at the bottom of the vehicle page on mobile.
  • Opening a property from the map now shows a photo gallery you can flip through with thumbnails and arrow keys, the price with thousands separators plus a price per m²/ft², who listed it and when, a Details tab with every fact in one place, and a quick Directions shortcut on the address. Owners see a Manage listing button instead of Save and Message.
  • Listing a property is smoother: pick several photos at once (or drag and drop on desktop), choose which one is the cover pin, and add up to 20 photos. Property types have icons, fields show helpful placeholders and character counts, and the final step summarizes your listing before you confirm the address.
Bug fixes (17)↓
  • Opening Settings no longer refreshes the map or jumps back to your location.
  • On the mobile app, swiping between listings on a pin with several items now works on the first try right after the card opens.
  • You can highlight and copy text on a listing’s full details card.
  • Picking a city or region in map filters now outlines every place you picked and keeps listings there visible instead of clearing the map.
  • On Android, the map search bar stays just above the system navigation buttons.
  • When zoomed out, the map no longer drops nearby listings because of listings on other continents at the same latitude. Cluster bubbles now count every pin in view, and the map loads less data as you pan.
  • When TapTrade is added to the Home Screen on iPhone, the map now fills the screen all the way to the bottom instead of leaving a white bar under the search bar.
  • On the iPhone home-screen app, sharing a listing or opening the original marketplace page no longer reloads the map when you come back.
  • Sharing a listing from the compact map pin now uses the same title, description, and price as sharing from the full listing, instead of a leftover English line and a photo link.
  • Map pins on the Android app no longer flash on and off for a minute or two after launch. The app kept re-checking location permission, which briefly paused it and hid the map each time.
  • With the automatic day/night theme on Android, the phone's status and navigation bars no longer flicker after reopening the app, and map pins show up right away instead of minutes later.
  • Pins and numbered clusters on the mobile map stay put instead of blinking when map listings refresh in the background.
  • On the mobile app, tapping a city in map area totals opens the results card above the search bar and map buttons. The card slides up smoothly instead of dropping in with a shake.
  • On a wide screen, the vehicle and property listing forms scroll again so you can reach every field next to the photos.
  • Saving edits to a vehicle or property listing works again. The Show on the map choice is kept when you update an existing pin instead of blocking the save.
  • The search filter drawer is steadier: distance and price sliders no longer jump back while you drag, typing a vehicle make keeps your spaces, year and mileage only apply once you finish typing instead of briefly hiding every listing, and a backwards year range still works. Tapping the selected city again clears it. The active-filters bar on the map now only shows filters that apply to the type you are browsing, includes property and vehicle filters like beds or fuel, and no longer disappears when only those are set.
  • In the property wizard, photos you removed no longer reappear after adding more, overly long titles or descriptions are flagged before you submit instead of failing at the end, and an address that cannot be found is highlighted on the street field rather than only shown as a passing message.

0.9.6
Changelog

A new landing page

A new landing page tells the TapTrade story before you sign in: a map that settles as you scroll, three steps for giving, browsing, and chatting, a gallery of what you can do, and both sides of the marketplace. Zoomed out, the map can show how many listings are in each place; search filters can switch to Cities. Faster photos, smoother typing and panning, and privacy fixes land in Improvements and Bug fixes. The app is now marked as Beta.

Listing counts when you zoom out

Zoomed out, the map can show city, area, and country outlines with how many listings are in each place. Tap a place to see the breakdown; pinch or drag to close the card and zoom in for the usual pins.

Filter search by city

Map filters can switch between Categories and Cities. Pick a city or area to see only items, events, homes, cars, or businesses there — including marketplace listings from other sites — with the place outlined and the map moving to it.

Improvements (6)↓
  • The web app downloads far less on first visit: it now ships only the language you are using instead of all eight, and relies on your browser for dates and "3 hours ago" style times. Switching language fetches just that language on the spot. Location tracking on the map also stops redrawing the screen on tiny GPS and compass jitter, so panning and scrolling stay smoother on phones.
  • The mobile app downloads far less on cellular: search result cards, nearby-listing lists, map pins, listing and event photo strips, storefronts, seller profiles, your dashboard grids, and chat photos and avatars now load images sized for the screen instead of full-resolution uploads, so grids fill in faster and scrolling stays smooth. Tapping a photo to zoom still opens the original.
  • The map uses far less data: photo pins now download thumbnail-sized images instead of full-resolution uploads, and photos warmed up for the listing panel are the exact size the panel shows. Save buttons across search results and listing panels update from a single shared source, your dashboard listing grids load right-sized thumbnails, and the Saved tabs in Homes and Vehicles only load when you open them.
  • Typing in chat and in the map search is smoother: long conversations and large result grids no longer redraw on every keystroke. Chat lists load their unread badges in one go, and lists of nearby homes and vehicles scroll more smoothly on mobile.
  • Panning and zooming the map is smoother, especially in the mobile app with many pins on screen. Opening the dashboard apps from the map is faster, and thumbnails you have already seen reappear instantly while scrolling.
  • Email notices — welcome, listing, wish, and event updates — are retried automatically if the mail service is briefly unavailable, are never sent twice for the same event, and stop going to addresses that bounce or report the message as spam.
Bug fixes (3)↓
  • Conversations with more than 50 messages opened at the oldest messages and never showed the newest ones. Chats now open on the latest messages.
  • Your liked listings and other people's public profiles no longer include private account details such as email, phone, birth date, gender, or exact home address. Your account email is now taken only from your sign-in provider and cannot be changed by a misbehaving app.
  • Business pins inside the visible map area could be missing when many businesses existed elsewhere on the map. The map now shows every business in view.

Credits for voting and sharing

Vote and get 20 extra credits, once. Share a link and friends who open it can pick up the same thank-you credits. Profile, map, and other polish land in Improvements and Bug fixes.

Improvements (6)↓
  • On a tablet, apps open almost as wide as the screen so charts and lists have room, instead of sitting in a phone-sized column.
  • In dark mode, the colored title bar at the top of each app is toned down so it blends with the dark interface instead of glowing. App icons in the drawer keep their full color.
  • Phone number on your profile now has a country prefix picker, and a leading 0 is dropped automatically — typing 0543971020 with the +972 prefix saves the right international number.
  • Picking your date of birth opens a friendly calendar with month and year dropdowns instead of the plain date box — on your profile and during account verification.
  • Your home address on the profile shows in your app language — street and city names appear in Hebrew, English, and the other supported languages.
  • Screen readers skip extra photos that already have a title next to them, and announce profile, chat, and listing pictures in your language.
Bug fixes (4)↓
  • Save on a listing is a real button, so keyboard and screen reader users can bookmark it.
  • Use current location still saves your home pin if the address lookup fails, so you can continue and type the street yourself.
  • Turning 3D map back on from Graphics tilts the street-level view again instead of staying flat.
  • Map clusters keep their type color when Graphics is Low — event clusters stay purple instead of turning listing-blue.

0.9.4
Changelog

More apps in the App Store

Items, Events, and Wishes can be added or removed from the App Store. Creating a home, vehicle, or shop turns that app on, and you can’t remove an app while you still have listings of that type or an active business. Vehicle, home, and shop pins get a redesigned page, shared listing links open the installed app, and a large set of map, mobile, and dark-mode fixes land in Improvements and Bug fixes.

Improvements (19)↓
  • Occasional update emails now include an Unsubscribe link, and you can also write to the privacy inbox to leave that list without signing in. Account and security messages are unchanged.
  • The Hebrew privacy page now reflects the reviewed policy, with clearer information about data use, cookies, security, privacy rights, and contact details.
  • Refreshing or going back keeps the map at the place, zoom, and tilt you were just looking at.
  • On the mobile app, you can pinch, drag, and double-tap to zoom a photo after opening it from a full map listing or a chat message.
  • After you flick the map, it now keeps sliding farther before it eases to a stop.
  • See on Map from a public listing opened from the map now switches back to your existing map tab and shows that pin, instead of opening the map again in the same tab.
  • Opening someone's profile from a listing photo now fills the screen, with a clearer photo grid of their items and events.
  • Opening a shared listing link on a phone now jumps straight to that pin in the mobile app when it is installed, instead of showing the public web page first.
  • On a phone, See on Map on a public listing now opens the mobile app when it is installed, and still opens the map in the browser if it is not.
  • Tapping a small group of nearby listings on the map now zooms in and opens them, instead of showing a list.
  • Moving the map no longer keeps reloading the search list in the background, so browsing stays lighter.
  • Items, Events, Wishlist, Homes, and Vehicles now have a + at the bottom of the app — same look as the map + — with a label next to it, and it opens the add form in a drawer.
  • Each app’s help panel now includes common questions you can expand — how long listings last, how boosts work, and other how-tos — while simple apps like Theme stay a short description.
  • Zoomed-out map views load faster: you still see numbered clusters for every pin, and listing photos and details load once you zoom in far enough to tap a pin or open the list.
  • Opening a vehicle, home, or shop pin now shows a redesigned page that stays comfortably centered on big screens: vehicles get a photo gallery and a specs tab, homes show beds, baths, and size at a glance with a photo tab, and shops present their products and info in tidy tabs.
  • The map tour now walks through homes, vehicles, and shops when those types are available, and ends by confirming you can start exploring.
  • Home pins on the map sit a short distance from your exact address so others cannot pinpoint it.
  • Shop owners on the phone can edit hours, locations, and products, and start or restore billing on the website.
  • Vehicle and home cards show extra photos, fuel type, and floor size. You can pick several photos at once and boost a home from the phone.
Bug fixes (38)↓
  • On iPhone, the home-screen app no longer sits under the status bar or leaves a white strip above the home indicator — map buttons, search, drawers, and opened apps stay in the usable area.
  • Opening a listing to full screen now covers the whole view even when the pin was off to the side, instead of leaving the map showing next to the panel.
  • Tapping a numbered group of one listing on the mobile map now waits for the listing details before opening the pin, instead of showing an empty card until you close and tap again.
  • On the mobile app, the read-aloud button on a full map listing now stays readable in dark mode.
  • After you delete your account and sign in again, finishing verification no longer shows an error about saved listing drafts.
  • On the mobile app, the startup loading screen now stays on your chosen look instead of flashing light when dark mode is on.
  • Tapping a numbered group or a pushed-apart pin on the map now centers it on the screen, and a pin no longer jumps to a different spot when it opens.
  • On the mobile app, scrolling in Achievements, Settings, notifications, and other app lists no longer freezes at the top or bottom.
  • On the mobile app, the close control on a full map listing now shows its arrow in Hebrew and Arabic.
  • Opening a cluster or combined map pin on the mobile app now slides and swipes in the correct direction in Hebrew and Arabic.
  • Swiping a combined map pin in the half card now moves between the listings at that spot.
  • The first step of the verification form shows the sign-in options again instead of a blank card.
  • On iPhone, you can scroll the home page to the footer again, and the verification form no longer runs off the screen.
  • Opening a car, home, or business pin on the mobile map no longer crashes the app.
  • The event creation calendar now lets you move to other months instead of jumping back to the day you already picked.
  • Creating a listing on the mobile app now keeps the close button, step tracker, option tabs, and form chips readable in dark mode.
  • Opening an app in the mobile App Store now keeps the description, questions, and install switch readable in dark mode.
  • Opening Events, Items, Automobiles, or Real Estate on the mobile app no longer crashes or leaves the app when you already have listings.
  • Opening Items on the mobile app no longer goes blank, and the back button closes Items instead of leaving the app.
  • You can scroll inside mobile apps such as Achievements, and the add-listing bar under Items, Events, and Wishes now follows dark mode.
  • Sharing an item now copies a short link based on the listing name, instead of a long string of account and listing IDs.
  • Continuing with Google on the mobile app works again after shared listing links started opening the app.
  • Sign-in on the mobile app now uses the same light and dark colors as the rest of the app, so labels and fields stay readable.
  • Tapping a numbered business cluster on the map now zooms to the pin and opens the storefront, instead of showing an error.
  • Event pins now show their photos when you zoom in, and tapping a group of events opens the list instead of doing nothing.
  • Signing in from the homepage now opens the map instead of leaving you on the marketing page.
  • Opening a free community event on the map no longer shows an error.
  • Businesses, Homes, and Vehicles in the App Store now show descriptions in your language instead of English.
  • Closing the add form from an app now matches the map +: no prompt if you haven’t left the first step, and a save-draft option once you have.
  • Opening a group of nearby listings on the map now shows their photos and titles, and tapping one no longer shows an error.
  • Zooming out on the map no longer shows an error over the numbered clusters.
  • Closing an open pin on the map shrinks it back smoothly again instead of snapping shut, including the full home, vehicle, and shop windows.
  • Picking a listing from search now reliably opens its pin on the first try, stacked pins stay together, and the map no longer gets stuck after you close them.
  • Listing, ticket, shop, and ad links only open normal web addresses.
  • Search history on a shared phone or computer stays with your account instead of mixing with someone else's.
  • Signing out of all devices from the phone now actually ends those other sessions.
  • Vehicle search on the phone now includes type, make, year, fuel, and mileage filters, matching the website.
  • Shared vehicle, home, and shop links keep your language and open the listing on the map.

0.9.3
Changelog

Save a listing draft and finish later

When you leave a new item or event listing after the first step, you can save a draft and finish later. You can also mark items New, Used, or Damaged. Listing forms fill more of the screen, and a large set of map, mobile dark-mode, and accessibility fixes land in Improvements and Bug fixes.

Mark items New, Used, or Damaged

When you list an item, you can mark it New, Used, or Damaged under the price so shoppers know the condition before they message you.

Improvements (13)↓
  • When you add a listing, the form now fills almost the whole screen. Close it with the X — dragging the sheet no longer dismisses it.
  • New item listings no longer label the first photo as AI. You can still add up to 3 photos.
  • The map no longer shows a gift button for inviting friends. You can still invite from Rewards.
  • The TapTrade icon is now the map pin with a globe, matching the look on phones, and the browser tab icon sits on a clear background.
  • Button size is under Map settings, and Show chat presence is under General.
  • Opening an app from the grid expands the colored shell first, then fades in the app, so the motion stays smooth on slower devices.
  • Choose items or events and how results are sorted from two dropdowns on one row in map search on web and the mobile app.
  • Map event listings focus on Israel for now, so the map stays relevant while we serve that audience first.
  • Third-party marketplace listings are categorized more reliably from Hebrew titles, with fewer left uncategorized.
  • On the mobile app, accessibility options live under Settings → General instead of a separate tab.
  • Filters no longer include a currency picker — price range applies across all currencies.
  • Release notes split polish into Improvements and Bug fixes so you can scan fixes separately.
  • Accessibility has its own tab in Settings, with the full preference controls on the website and the statement link on the mobile app.
Bug fixes (32)↓
  • Tapping the remove control on a photo while creating an item listing now deletes that photo.
  • The glowing ring around the camera shutter no longer steals taps meant for Use Gallery.
  • After paying on the website, you return to the same address you started from, instead of a blank connection error.
  • Tapping a search result that sits in a combined map pin opens that pin, and closing it no longer leaves the map stuck so you cannot pan or open other pins.
  • Map search type and sort dropdowns put the label on the reading-start side and the arrow on the other side in Hebrew and Arabic.
  • The map add button grows and turns on hover like the other map buttons.
  • Boosted listing cards on the map keep a gold tint in dark mode instead of a washed-out cream overlay.
  • Map buttons stay lined up above the search sheet when its height settles, without needing another drag.
  • Map search on web and the mobile app lists nearest listings first instead of mixing in farther promoted ones.
  • Choosing another result in map search opens that listing instead of only panning while the previous marker stayed open.
  • The Achievements app icon in the web app drawer is white like the other apps.
  • More of the mobile app follows light and dark theme colors instead of fixed palette shades.
  • My Items status counts follow dark mode on the mobile app and sit in one row of four on web and mobile.
  • Signing back in from the marketing site no longer hits a blocked connection to the map app host.
  • Larger map button sizes keep clear space above the search bar instead of crowding it.
  • Distance filters list nearby search results that match the pins on the map, and sorting by distance keeps nearer listings first.
  • Closing the bug report drawer keeps your category and description until you submit.
  • The apps button on the mobile map opens the app drawer again after you close it.
  • Bug report category chips follow light and dark theme on the mobile app.
  • App Store install dialogs and listing labels follow dark mode on the mobile app.
  • You can scroll the achievements list again inside the Achievements app on mobile.
  • The Achievements app icon in the mobile app drawer is white like the other apps.
  • Credits history rows stay readable in dark mode on the mobile app.
  • Item and event card titles and details stay readable in dark mode on the mobile app.
  • Item status pills (public, private, completed) keep their colors in dark mode on the mobile app.
  • Your name and the divider on the mobile chat list stay readable in dark mode.
  • Chat received messages and the message box follow dark mode on the mobile app instead of staying white with dark text.
  • Search history suggestions stay readable in dark mode on the mobile app.
  • Skip links no longer sit invisibly over the map controls — the apps button and filters work again, and search only focuses the field when you mean to type.
  • High contrast keeps text dark and readable on light dialogs and sheets instead of washing labels out to pale gray or yellow.
  • Keyboard shortcuts Alt+1, Alt+2, and Alt+3 work reliably across keyboard layouts (not only Escape).
  • The text-to-speech voice menu opens above Settings, and a matching voice is chosen automatically from your language.

Accessibility settings and statement

Accessibility is front and center: in-product settings for contrast, text size, motion, focus, and speech; skip links to main content, navigation, and search; and an Accessibility Statement from the footer, About, and legal pages. Also map button size in Settings, credit-spend achievements, shared marketplace links that open the right pin, free events from FreeIL on the map, and a large set of mobile dark-mode, map, tour, and boost polish in Improvements.

Choose small, medium, or large map buttons in Settings → General on mobile and web

New achievements reward you for spending credits — hit spend milestones and claim bonus credits back

New achievements reward you for spending credits — hit spend milestones and claim bonus credits back.

Shared listings open right on the map

Sharing a marketplace listing or event that comes from an outside source now sends a link to the app instead of the source website. Whoever opens the link lands on the map with that exact pin flying into view and its card already open — even without an account or being nearby. The map tour politely waits until they close the card before introducing itself.

Free events from FreeIL on the map

Upcoming free events across Israel from FreeIL now show up on the map alongside other ticketed listings. When FreeIL provides a cover photo, it is saved to our image hosting so it keeps working; otherwise the usual app image is used.

Improvements (73)↓
  • The map tour now points out Filters right after the app drawer, so you can narrow results from the map.
  • The map tour spotlight waits for Search and Types to appear before moving to them, instead of briefly jumping to the middle of the screen.
  • Before diving into the map, confirm you’ve read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — and take the tour from a button beside Get Started.
  • Welcome emails now arrive from hello@taptrade.site so they feel like a human hello, not a no-reply notice.
  • Legal pages and product emails now use role addresses (support, privacy, legal, and related) instead of a personal inbox.
  • In Hebrew, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service (and their on-page section lists) are now fully in Hebrew.
  • Marketplace map listings stay fresher by keeping only the newest 800 third-party items.
  • In Hebrew, wishlist labels now say משאלות instead of רשימת משאלות.
  • On Android, back closes the open search drawer first, and leaving the app takes two back presses.
  • When GPU map markers are on, closed pins show listing photos and the usual pin shapes, and clusters show the count plus type label—matching the normal map markers more closely.
  • On mobile, chat profile names and presence labels stay light and readable in dark mode.
  • On mobile, the notifications drawer uses light text and dark card surfaces in dark mode.
  • On mobile, the search filter drawer uses light labels and values in dark mode.
  • On mobile, the Language app uses dark select rows and readable labels in dark mode.
  • On mobile, search drawer result cards (items, events, ads, and AI rows) use dark surfaces and readable text in dark mode.
  • On mobile, the Achievements app uses dark cards, readable text, and a themed progress bar in dark mode.
  • On mobile, Replay map tutorial closes Settings with a normal toast, zooms the map out, and starts the guided tour again.
  • On mobile, Wishes app cards and match rows use dark surfaces and readable text in dark mode.
  • On mobile, Items and Events app detail drawers use dark surfaces and readable text for titles, chips, and footers in dark mode.
  • On mobile, cluster list drawers close when you tap or drag the side handle, and list cards stay dark in dark mode.
  • On mobile, marker half/full cards and item, event, and wish cluster drawers use dark surfaces and readable text in dark mode.
  • On mobile, push alerts use the device notification channel (not browser notifications), with clearer Alerts copy and a send-test control in settings.
  • On mobile, Settings tabs no longer show an extra divider under the last row, and row dividers stay dark in dark mode.
  • On mobile, Settings graphics chips, language and currency pickers, map row titles, the tutorial control, claim bonus, and log out buttons stay readable in dark mode.
  • On mobile, the Profile app uses dark cards, fields, chips, and settings rows instead of light-theme leftovers.
  • On mobile, the bug report form uses dark category chips and a dark description field instead of light-theme inputs.
  • On mobile, items, events, wishlist, and search cards use square image layouts with clearer dark surfaces, and listing detail drawers match the web layout with capped photos, price badges, and action footers.
  • On mobile, unselected Layers cards use dark borders, muted chips, and readable text instead of light-theme leftovers.
  • On mobile, the App Store grid shows three app icons per row again instead of wrapping into two columns.
  • On mobile, the notifications drawer grows with new items instead of staying short, and cards and scroll fades read correctly in dark mode.
  • On mobile, the search filter sheet keeps a solid dark panel, readable pills and sort menu, and visible price-slider thumbs in dark mode.
  • On mobile, boosted events show the same promotion badge and active-boost details as listings, and the boost button stays off while a boost is already running.
  • Listing and event detail drawers no longer crop the photo’s rounded corners and soft border at the top of the panel.
  • If you cancel, delete, or complete a boosted listing or event before the boost ends, you get half the daily credit rate back for each day remaining — and the boost dialog has a quick rules tip.
  • Boosting and early boost refunds now show a toast with the credit amount and land in your notifications.
  • When you publish a listing, if you set a price higher than the photo’s estimated value, it’s saved at the estimate instead — lower prices stay as you entered them.
  • Boosting a listing now uses a gold days slider with a live credit calculator — daily cost scales with the listing’s estimated value (giveaways can’t be boosted), and events use a flat daily rate capped by how many days are left.
  • On the map at city zoom and farther out, even a lone listing now shows as a numbered cluster bubble instead of a full pin, so the map stays consistent until you zoom in.
  • At wider map zooms, nearby pins only combine when they are closer together, so distant listings stay as separate numbered bubbles instead of one oversized cluster.
  • When you zoom in on the map, overlapping pins of different kinds — like a listing next to a wish or event — slide apart so you can tap each one.
  • On the mobile map, the compass dial now turns with the map as you rotate, so the red tip keeps pointing north.
  • The mobile launch screen shows the pin without a white square or clipped edges, and uses a light or dark background that follows the theme you chose in the app.
  • Notification toasts on the mobile map are easier to read — the panel is frosted so street labels and map chrome no longer show through the text.
  • The map loads outside listings and events more efficiently, so pins stay visible without constantly re-downloading the whole metro set while you browse.
  • Outside giveaways on the map now clear after five days instead of a week, so stale pins disappear sooner.
  • Tapping a marketplace listing in search flies to the pin and opens it again — the marker no longer vanishes after the map pans.
  • The share sheet now uses a single Copy link button (no raw URL field), shared marketplace and event links no longer show the outside source name in the path, and the sheet opens above a fully expanded map card.
  • When listing, event, and wish count bubbles sit on top of each other on the web or mobile map, they slide apart sideways so you can see and tap each one.
  • External listings and events on the map no longer show a host or marketplace profile picture — use Message or Get tickets in the marker instead.
  • On the mobile app, the verification form detects your location automatically again, and the location button is more reliable indoors or when GPS is slow.
  • On the mobile app, AI photo analysis for new listings and events works again — photos are encoded in a format the AI service accepts.
  • On the mobile app, the unread count on the map notifications bell is no longer clipped by the round button.
  • On the mobile app, tapping a map cluster or pin while zoomed out no longer breaks every cluster into individual pins at once (which could freeze the map).
  • When you pick a result from search, the map briefly shows only that pin while flying to it, then brings the rest of the pins back once it opens.
  • On the mobile app, map pin cards and full details for listings, events, and wishes match the website more closely — including full-only drawer mode, message actions on preview cards, and wishlist full drawer details.
  • On the mobile app, large map clusters show the full pin count and list again (they previously capped around 256 even when many more listings were in the area).
  • On the map, pins that sit on top of each other stay as one combined pin with a count at full street zoom (instead of splitting into overlapping singles), matching the usual cluster → combined → single zoom behavior.
  • On the mobile app, the map tour highlight stays aligned with the button it points to (including right-to-left languages) and steps through more smoothly.
  • You can no longer list or request live animals or pets for sale or giveaway (pet supplies are still allowed).
  • On the mobile app, the chat message box and send button stay above the keyboard while you type.
  • On the mobile app, map pin drawers open full details like the website (no half step), with a dimmed backdrop and in-content close; multi-listing drawers page with a counter.
  • On the mobile app, nearby map pins (listings, events, wishes, and clusters) no longer hide each other when they sit close together.
  • On the mobile app, High graphics can animate map pins smoothly between the pin, card, and full screen (like opening apps from the app drawer). Lower graphics open instantly.
  • On the mobile app, opening a listing or event pin to full screen matches the website layout — owner header, photo, details, and actions — without map controls sitting on top.
  • On the mobile app, map pins can open as a card near the pin (like the website), and you can switch that vs drawer mode from Graphics settings.
  • On the mobile app, finishing the map tour no longer restarts the tour because of a delayed storage read.
  • On the mobile app, enabling location in the map tour finds you much faster and no longer flickers the phone's status and navigation bars while locating.
  • On the mobile app, picking a listing from a map cluster opens that listing right away instead of the wrong item after a long delay.
  • On the mobile app, map search result cards use the correct dark theme colors and shadows instead of light-mode styling.
  • On Android, the map tilts smoothly while you pinch zoom in 3D, instead of stuttering.
  • On the mobile app, map search uses only a compact bar and a full drawer — the mid snap height is gone so focusing search expands cleanly above the keyboard.
  • On the mobile app, quickly closing the map search drawer no longer bounces open and shut before settling.
  • Chat, achievements, and bug-report screens keep actions above the phone's bottom navigation buttons on Android.

Android app ready for internal testing

The Android app is ready for internal testing on Google Play — try the full map, apps drawer, search, and create flows on your phone. This release also ships a large set of mobile polish: faster drawers, dark theme and system bar fixes, Google sign-in that returns to the app, listing photos and app screens that show correctly again, and smoother search and wizards.

Improvements (61)↓
  • On the mobile app, the create (+) menu is ready on the first tap — it stays mounted under the map instead of building only when you open it.
  • On the mobile app, the apps grid starts sliding out as soon as you tap it instead of waiting while the map refreshes underneath.
  • On the mobile app, the apps grid is ready on the first tap — it stays mounted under the map instead of building only after you open it once.
  • On the mobile app, closing the map search sheet takes two drags (half, then minimum), and panning the map collapses it to the minimum height.
  • On the mobile app, dragging the map search sheet closed no longer bounces open and shut before it settles.
  • On the mobile app, map search tabs and results stay visible in the search sheet at every snap height, not only when fully opened.
  • On the mobile app, AI photo and search analysis work again when creating listings or searching — they now sign in to the same AI service as the website.
  • On the mobile app, map control buttons shrink slightly when you tap them, matching the website feedback.
  • On the mobile app, the map create (+) button opens again after you cancel adding an item, event, or wish.
  • On the mobile app, closing an add item, event, or wish form asks you to confirm before discarding.
  • On the mobile app in Hebrew and Arabic, wizard Next/Back arrows point the correct way, and inactive step icons stay visible.
  • On the mobile app, tapping a category in the search filter selects it right away instead of waiting about half a second.
  • On the mobile app, search, filter, marker, and profile sheets use the same solid light/dark surfaces as the website when frosted glass is off.
  • On the mobile app, chat and listing lists scroll more smoothly, and photos in My Items, Events, Wishlist, and map clusters load through the faster image pipeline.
  • On the mobile app, chat, AI chat, buttons, and inputs follow the shared light and dark theme colors instead of fixed purple or gray values.
  • On the mobile app, the map create (+) and nearby controls stay on the same screen edges in Hebrew and Arabic as on the website.
  • On the mobile app, rapidly opening and closing the notifications panel no longer leaves it stuck open while the map stays tappable underneath.
  • On Android, the system navigation bar matches the app’s dark theme instead of staying a white strip under the map search drawer.
  • On the mobile app, the create (+) menu and map drawers open faster — sheets stay ready instead of rebuilding every tap.
  • On the mobile app, create item, event, and wish forms show readable text in dark mode, and primary action buttons keep their rounded corners.
  • On the mobile app, the create (+) menu title and option labels are readable in dark mode.
  • On the mobile app, map and apps drawers use a solid background instead of frosted glass for clearer, faster panels.
  • On the mobile app, dashboard chip tabs follow Hebrew and Arabic layout — first tab on the start edge, icon order, and the active pill stay aligned.
  • On the mobile app (Android), dark theme correctly colors settings, chips, language/layers rows, help dialogs, and the system navigation bar, and the map stays pannable with search after switching themes.
  • Map drawers open much faster — the frosted glass effect waits until after the slide starts instead of freezing the first tap.
  • On Android, opening the create (+) menu no longer crashes the app.
  • On Android, listing photos show again on map pins and in search results.
  • On Android, apps opened from the apps grid show their content again instead of a blank screen in the header color.
  • On the mobile app, signing in with Google returns to the app instead of an error page.
  • On the mobile app (Android), opening a map pin no longer crashes when the pin tries to enlarge.
  • On Android, add item, event, or wish no longer opens as a blank white screen after picking from the plus menu.
  • On the mobile app, tapping Verify from an open app now opens the verification wizard on top instead of hiding it behind that app.
  • On the mobile map, listing cards show a clear photo you can swipe through when there are several, and event and wish cards use the same cleaner layout.
  • On the mobile map, opening a listing, event, or wish from a pin now covers most of the screen above the map buttons and search bar.
  • Removed the Mature listing category and its subcategories from browse and listing filters.
  • On the mobile map, street names follow your app language like cities already did.
  • On the mobile map, place names now use the language you chose in the app instead of the phone’s system language.
  • You can keep using the map while the apps menu is open — pan and tap outside the menu instead of being blocked.
  • The apps menu on phones now opens only as tall as its icons, growing with more apps until the top of the screen, then scrolls.
  • On the mobile map, dragging the notifications panel handle no longer makes the map scroll out of bounds.
  • On the mobile map, tapping Filters (top bar or search sheet) opens the filter screen again.
  • On the mobile map, search filters apply as you change them and stay when you close the sheet, matching the website.
  • On the mobile map, the Filters sheet is a bottom drawer with a grab handle, sort menu, and distance/price sliders like the website.
  • On the mobile map, opening Filters no longer hides the search sheet or brings back the old floating search button.
  • On the mobile map, the collapsed search sheet sits a bit higher with rounder top corners so it is easier to grab.
  • On the mobile map, the live location arrow no longer shows a dark rectangle behind the accuracy circle.
  • Fixed a console warning on the mobile web app about an invalid layout direction style when opening the map dashboard.
  • Fixed a startup script error that could break the website before the page finished loading (graphics quality preferences).
  • In Settings → Alerts & app, the install row shows TapTrade instead of a leftover {appName} placeholder.
  • In Settings, Alerts & app shows a greyed-out non-interactive preview before verification, with a Verify button underneath. Real notification and claim controls only appear after your account is set up.
  • Opening notifications before your account is set up shows a verify prompt inside the notifications panel instead of a separate dialog.
  • The invite gift button on the map stays hidden until your account is fully set up.
  • Signing in with an account that’s already set up no longer closes the setup sheet instantly — you get a Welcome back screen and a Get Started button instead.
  • After you sign in, every app opens from the apps grid. Profile, Credits, Bug report, Rewards, Items, Events, and Wishlist ask you to finish verification before showing their content, and the continue dialog says Verify (not Sign in & verify) when you already have an account.
  • Auto graphics quality is a bit more cautious on mid-range phones so the map stays smoother by default.
  • Toggling the Age & Terms confirmation checkbox during account setup no longer trips a console error in the completion wizard.
  • On the phone app, AI search shows the same dismissible filter chips as the website so you can clear price, distance, condition, category, or date hints without retyping the prompt.
  • Changing the Graphics preset updates map tilt right away when turning the 3D map on or off.
  • Settings category tabs can scroll all the way to the ends again when labels are long (including Hebrew and Arabic).
  • Installed app tries to draw the map under translucent system bars while keeping phone navigation controls visible (device-dependent; reinstall once to pick up the change)
  • With Graphics set to Low (or glass off), drawers use a solid dark background in dark mode instead of looking clear.

Search that finds every match — and lands on the right pin

Category filters in map search return the full set of matching listings, choosing a result centers on the pin you can actually see (even when nearby listings share a marker), and search filters select, reset, and respond reliably on phones. Plus map cluster polish, expiry alerts, and mobile parity in Improvements.

Category filters find the full set of matching listings

Choosing a category in the search drawer now returns the full set of matching items in that category, including marketplace listings that were categorized earlier.

Search focus lands on the pin you can see

Choosing a result from map search now centers on the pin you can actually see. When several nearby listings share one marker, the map no longer stops on an empty spot.

Search filters select and respond reliably on phones

Category chips in the map search filter sheet now show a clear selected state, Reset clears your choices, and applying a category filters the markers on the map again. In the installed website on iPhone, opening filters from search no longer makes you tap above a category, slider, or Reset to hit it — those controls activate on the first press.

Improvements (20)↓

Search filters that find categories — and update the map

Category filters are a clear checklist (parent picks include subcategories), show on listing cards, and narrow both drawer results and map pins even without a search word. The filters sheet is tighter and frosted; an App Store tile lets you install optional apps. Plus address, credits, and map polish.

Search filters: categories, map pins, and a clearer sheet

Open Filters to pick categories from an icon checklist — choosing a parent includes its subcategories. Selected categories appear as chips under the Filters header, and the sheet scrolls so you can reach every category. Listing cards show the category, and filtering updates both search results and map pins even when you have not typed a keyword. Sort, distance, currency, and price sit on compact rows with smoother sliders (including correct direction in Hebrew and Arabic). The search sheet and filters panel use a light frosted look so the map shows through softly.

App Store in the app drawer

Browse optional apps as icon cards in a new App Store tile. Tap one for a short description and a toggle to show or hide it in your drawer. Achievements, Rewards, Report a Bug, and Language start installed; Theme is available to install for light, dark, and automatic appearance.

Changelog

Mobile map parity, sharper photos, and credits that go further

Native map and apps catch up with web (drawer morph, frosted drawers, search that stays peeking), listing and event photos are larger on cloud image hosting, you can finish create wizards before verifying, and credit values are scaled 10×. Also: Items and Events apps with attention badges, faster event search, warmer apps/map when switching, and external giveaways that stay a week.

Sharper listing and event photos

When you crop a photo for a listing or event — or generate an AI event cover — TapTrade now keeps a larger square image and hosts it on cloud image hosting. Existing photos are migrated in the background; you do not need to re-upload.

Finish your listing before verifying

From the map + menu, open any create wizard and complete the details. When you submit, TapTrade asks you to verify (or sign in if needed), then publishes your listing automatically.

Credits go further — values are 10×

Every credit grant and spend is scaled up: signup bonus is 200, achievement tiers run 20–400 (invites 100–500), boosts cost 30 / 50 / 100, AI event covers cost 50, and purchase packs grant 200 / 500 / 1000. USD prices stay the same.

Items and Events apps in the drawer

On web and in the app, the drawer opens Items (your posts plus bookmarks) and Events (your events plus saved events). That layout scales cleanly when more listing types arrive later.

App drawer stays open when you launch an app

Tap an app and the colored tile expands into the full screen while the drawer stays underneath, same idea as on the website. Closing the app returns you to the grid without reopening the drawer from scratch.

Map search stays peeking on the mobile app

On the native map, search no longer fully closes. You can snap between a compact search bar, a half sheet, and a tall results view. Plus, location, layers, and compass controls sit above the sheet at the compact and half levels so they stay tappable.

Tap or pinch marker photos to expand

On mobile web and in the app, the expand control on listing and event marker cards is gone. Tap or spread on the photo to open full details; double-tap or pinch when full to return to the half card; pinch on the half card to close it. Horizontal swipes still move between listings in a carousel.

App icons show update counts

Open Apps from the map to see counts on tiles that need attention: unread chats, achievements ready to claim, and unread wishlist matches from nearby listings or events.

Faster return to apps and the map

Inactive dashboard sections pause in the background so chat drafts and scroll position come back when you reopen them. The map stays warm off-screen too, so returning feels instant instead of a cold reload.

Faster event search on the map

TapTrade keeps a compact search index for upcoming events instead of pulling full event write-ups on every browse. You still see the same titles, venues, and short descriptions — just with less wait when the events list is busy.

External giveaways stay for a full week

External marketplace giveaways keep their place on the map for up to a week from the listing date. Daily refresh only updates what’s still listed — it no longer wipes pins just because they weren’t on the first pages of results.

Map drawers open on frosted glass

On web, cluster and notification drawers use the shared glass drawer style (soft blur and light fill). On mobile, cluster leaf sheets and map overlay drawers use the same frosted-glass recipe as the apps drawer, so the map stays visible behind the panel instead of sitting under a solid white or dark overlay.

Improvements (37)↓
  • Map drawers open from the same edges as the website (RTL-aware)
  • Chat opens inside the Chat app instead of a separate screen
  • Location arrow matches web (shape, halo, heading)
  • Map search results use the same grid cards as web

  • Profiles and app links open in a new tab so the map session stays
  • Marker back control follows RTL (position and arrow)
  • App reorder drag preview tracks correctly in RTL
  • Edit / boost / delete dialogs stay above the listing drawer
  • Mobile chat: translate/show original and tappable listing photos
  • Delete chats from the inbox (matches web)
  • Map keyword search waits for Submit / suggestion pick
  • Clearer empty-photo label on map listing sheets
  • Prefetch pin thumbnails after the camera settles
  • Saved listings open full details (not a straight jump to the map)
  • Search drawer compact → peek → full snap heights
  • Signup-bonus walkthrough skips install on native (notifications only)
  • Wishlist heart control on the mobile map chrome

  • Install the home-screen app from app.taptrade.site (not the marketing host)

0.8.6
Changelog

Guest map browsing and separate marketing host

Explore the map before you sign in, with nearby-only guest pins and a clearer Start for free path to the app host. Marketing stays on taptrade.site; the map lives on app.taptrade.site. Also: Message Seller on every pin, richer map tutorial, and more app-drawer polish.

Marketing site and app map on separate domains

The marketing homepage and legal/changelog pages stay on taptrade.site. Browsing the map and signing in happens on app.taptrade.site, so first visits no longer bounce between landing and map on the same URL. Start for free and Go to map open the app host.

Browse the map before you sign in

You can explore the map without creating an account. Landing “Start for free” and mobile Get Started open the map at a globe view after the welcome screen. The first tutorial step asks you to enable location and slowly zooms to your neighborhood. When you add a listing, chat, save, or open account-only controls, the verification flow includes sign-in as the first step, then finishes your profile.

Guests see nearby listings only

As a guest, map pins and search results are limited to roughly 5 kilometers around your saved device location (updated whenever GPS is available) so you can explore your neighborhood before creating an account. A banner on the map explains this and offers Sign in to unlock listings everywhere once you have location enabled.

Browse apps before you sign in

With the app drawer enabled, the map apps button no longer requires an account first. Open About or Language anytime. Chat, listings, profile, and the rest stay locked with a Log in badge until you sign in and verify — tapping a locked app opens that flow, then launches the app when you finish.

Message Seller on every map listing

Opening a TapTrade item, event, or wish pin now always offers a message button (including half-sheet cards). External marketplace listings still use their outbound link instead. If you are not signed in or not verified yet, tapping the button opens the sign-in and verification flow, then continues into chat.

Rearrange apps in the app drawer

With App Drawer enabled, you can rearrange the apps grid like on a phone home screen: long-press an icon, drag it to another slot, and the surrounding apps move to make room. The layout is stored locally on web and mobile so it stays the next time you open the drawer.

App drawer and apps use a desktop layout on wide screens

With App Drawer enabled on a wide viewport (tablet landscape or desktop), the apps grid opens from the start edge instead of covering the whole screen from the bottom. Tapping an app still morphs from the icon, but the section lands as a centered sheet around 50% of the screen width with a light dim behind it — close with the X, Escape, or by tapping outside. Narrow phones keep the full-screen bottom drawer and full-screen app host.

Improvements (13)↓
  • Sign out (and sign out of all devices) returns you to the TapTrade marketing homepage instead of a local development URL.
  • Verification wizard header is more compact — title beside the profile icon with tighter top padding.
  • Signing in from the verification wizard as a guest continues into profile steps without reloading the map or collapsing the progress rail.
  • Search history waits for a second tap (or typing) so the first expand shows results without covering them.
  • Profile and Settings apps switch cleanly from the drawer without mixing screens; Settings no longer shows the profile photo.
  • Event map pins use a rounded rectangular frame with a smoothly blended tip instead of ribbon wings.
  • Opening an app from the drawer no longer hides and reopens the map search sheet when you close the app.
  • Map tour requires location; highlighted controls stay visible after each step
  • Welcome step offers Get Started or take the tour
  • Apps use icon accent color in header and open/close morph
  • Types filter sits above My Location
  • Achievements and bug report open like other drawer apps
  • Chat push notifications show the sender’s photo
0.8.5
Changelog

App drawer dashboard and faster maps

Open dashboard sections like phone apps from a blurred drawer (or keep classic), with faster app opens. Also: GPU map pins/clusters, warmer theme/2D–3D switches, mobile connectivity and OTA polish, and a wave of map and chat fixes.

App drawer dashboard on web and mobile

When App Drawer is enabled, the map menu button becomes an apps grid that slides up a translucent drawer of dashboard sections on both web and mobile. Tapping an app expands it full screen from the icon. You can switch back to the classic dashboard anytime under Settings → General.

Smarter mobile connectivity, updates, and feedback

The TapTrade app now detects network loss with a top banner and a back-online toast, checks for over-the-air app updates in the background with a restart prompt (plus a Settings → General check), and uses the system clipboard for chat copy and referral links instead of opening the share sheet. Listing photos are compressed before upload and AI analysis. Light haptics land on save, copy, and success moments, and a throttled store-review prompt can appear after verification or publishing your first item — with a manual Rate TapTrade row in settings.

Smoother maps with GPU pins and clusters

When GPU map markers are enabled, closed listing, event, and wish pins — plus their cluster bubbles — render as native map layers instead of hundreds of individual marker views. Opening a pin still uses the rich enlarge card.

Maps stay warm when switching theme or 2D/3D

The mobile map keeps its map view alive when you switch light/dark or 2D/3D, updating style and pitch in place instead of tearing down the native map. GPS and profile data are shared once at the home screen, and marker queries pause when the map screen is unfocused or the app is backgrounded. On web, the map loads on demand for signed-in users so chat and settings do not pay the map bundle cost up front.

Faster map loading with lighter pin data

Opening the map no longer kicks off a planet-wide pin query before the map knows where you are. Listing pins carry a short description and a single thumbnail instead of full copy and many images, and external marketplace pins for a metro are capped so clustering stays responsive. Mobile also shows map attribution again.

Open map markers in a drawer

In Profile → Settings → Map, turn on “Open markers in a drawer” to keep thumbnail pins on the map and show full details in a full-width bottom drawer—skipping the half-size expand. Close with the X or browser back. Clustering and pin photos stay the same; the classic on-map expand remains the default.

Listings expire after 30 days

Each public listing now has a 30-day window on the map. Every 7 days while it’s still up, you’ll get a push notification and email asking you to update the pin if it was sold or given away—so neighbors aren’t messaging about something that’s gone. Making a listing public again starts a fresh 30-day window.

Clearer overlapping map markers

Wishes, events, items, and their clusters no longer pile into an unreadable stack when they share a spot. Two nearby markers of different types nudge apart so both stay visible. Three or more collapse into a compact card with app-style icons—one per type—so you can tap an icon to fly to that pin or zoom into that cluster.

Swipe between stacked wishes

Wish pins that merge at the same spot (the count badge) now open a half-card carousel—same idea as stacked items and events—so every wish at that location is reachable without closing the pin.

Sponsored ads on the map and in search

TapTrade can now show self-served sponsored creatives without interrupting browsing. A single ad pin may appear near (not centered on) your map viewport; opening it shows the creative with an optional Visit site button. In the search drawer, a labeled Ad card appears about every 7–10 real results — tapping it places and opens that ad marker at your location. Nothing auto-opens or forces a click. Creatives are managed in the backend for now via a provider-agnostic shared ads layer so a third-party network can plug in later.

AI event covers on mobile

The mobile add-event cover step now matches web: toggle Upload / Generate with AI, describe the event (title, optional description, date, address), pick a theme, and get a 500×500 poster stored in file storage. Shared form orchestration and types live in the new shared AI helpers so web and mobile stay in sync; generated covers still cost 5 credits with automatic refund on failure.

Improvements (35)↓
  • Deep links and in-app navigation still open the right section in either presentation mode.
  • Profile and Settings are separate apps; Overview is omitted; Achievements and Bug report open from the drawer (their map chrome buttons hide while apps mode is on); the drawer is full-width on small screens.
  • Apps open faster: only the selected section loads, background blur pauses under an open app, and open/close uses lighter animations.
  • Less work while browsing apps: active tabs only, virtualized mobile lists, and reduced-transparency drawer fallbacks.
  • Chat presence heartbeats pause while offline to avoid noisy failed requests.
  • Closed map pins stay visually aligned on web and mobile.
  • Web 2D/3D mode no longer remounts the map instance.
  • Web map language and pitch listeners are cleaned up on remount to avoid leaks when switching 2D/3D.

Changelog

AI event cover creation

Create event covers with AI from a title, description, date, address, and theme for 5 credits — or keep uploading your own photo. Also: more reliable external giveaways, mobile parity polish, a clearer map tutorial, and Account settings of their own.

AI event cover generation

The add-event wizard's cover step gains a "Generate with AI" tab. Describe your event — title, optional description, date, and address — pick a theme (celebrative, spiritual, cultural, musical, sports, food & drink, artistic, community, romantic, or nature), and TapTrade generates a 500×500 poster-style cover stored in your event. Each generation costs 5 credits and is refunded automatically if it fails; regenerate as many times as you like or switch back to uploading your own photo. Generated titles and descriptions prefill the event form.

Reliable daily external listings

External marketplace giveaways now refresh on a morning schedule. Successful updates preserve each listing’s original timestamp, upsert current giveaways, and remove listings no longer available, while failed or empty runs stop safely without deleting map data.

Account settings chip

Profile → Settings no longer shows logout and delete account under General, Map, and Alerts. Those actions sit in a new Account chip tab on web and mobile, so each settings section only shows its own controls.

Mobile listing and event edit wizards

Dashboard My Listings replaces the simple title/price modal with the same multi-step item and event wizards used when creating listings, prefilled for edit and saving through updateItemWithImages / updateEvent. Tapping a row opens a detail sheet with share, public/private toggle, open-on-map, boost, complete, edit, and delete actions.

Mobile third-pass polish

Tapping a push notification now routes into chat, listings, wishlist, or overview like in-app notification cards. Native share includes the public listing URL, records backend share analytics, and fires product analytics events; event markers gain a share action. Search result rows include save chips. Wish-match notifications open the wishlist. The overview signup-bonus card drops the fake PWA install step and tracks push only. Public seller profiles show items and events tabs and fly the map to a listing. Expanded markers can read descriptions aloud. Credit packs match App Store product ids on iOS via in-app purchases.

Improvements (10)↓
  • AI image generation event covers with up-front credit charge and automatic refund on failure
  • Server-side downscale to exactly 500×500 stored directly in file storage (no client re-upload)
  • AI cover generation rate limited to 10 per hour per user
  • More reliable daily external giveaway refresh with safer stale cleanup
  • Push notification tap deep-link routing, share analytics, and marker TTS
  • iOS in-app purchase credit packs and App Store product ids
  • Mobile listing/event edit wizards and Account settings chip
  • Search drawer keeps a top gap so the handle stays reachable
  • Map tutorial step order simplified (no wish/compass)
  • Remaining mobile/web visual parity polish

Changelog

Smarter map search and fuller marketplace pins

Map search waits for Enter with history and title suggestions, and filters pins to match results. Empty listing photos are labeled clearly. Types consolidates marker layers, marketplace catalogs load fully, external giveaways stay a week, and achievements plus notifications follow your language.

Smarter search with history and suggestions

Typing in map search no longer queries results on every keystroke. Press Enter (or pick a suggestion) to search. An X clears the field, and focusing the input shows your local search history alongside live title predictions from listings and events.

Search filters the map

When you search for listings or events in the map search drawer, unrelated markers and other layers are hidden so the map shows only the results from your query. Clear the search or close the drawer to see the full map again.

Types filter on the map

Instead of separate layer chips across the top of the map, use the Types button beside achievements to choose which marker types to show. Items, events, and wishlist stay selected by default — turn any off from the same chip-styled menu.

External giveaways stay longer

Synced external giveaways remain on the map for up to a week. Daily refresh still updates listings, and anything not seen for more than 7 days is cleaned up automatically.

All marketplace pins on the map

External giveaways on the map used to cap at 200 markers per city. The map now loads up to 10,000 external listings for the nearest metro so you can browse the full catalog.

Improvements (3)↓
  • Clearer empty-photo label on map listings
  • Achievements drawer and tour step fully localized
  • Notification timestamps and system copy follow your language

Changelog

Fresher external listings on the map

External giveaways on the map now refresh every day and automatically leave after three days, so pins stay current. Map search Load more also keeps appended results instead of snapping back to page one.

Daily external giveaway refresh

Nearby external giveaways update overnight and listings older than three days are removed, so the map stays focused on recent offers.

Search pagination stays put

After you tap Load more, extra listings and events remain in the drawer. Small GPS updates no longer reset the list to page one.

Improvements (4)↓
  • Scheduled external giveaway refresh alongside external event updates
  • Age-based cleanup if a refresh run is skipped
  • Quantized location keys for keyword search callbacks
  • In-flight request guards for item search pagination

Credits from Overview

When payments are enabled, a Credits card shows your live balance and opens the Credits section. Dashboard navigation now puts Chat near the top and Profile at the bottom, with Credits just above Profile.

Improvements (2)↓
  • Aligned overview and sidebar section order on web and mobile
  • Wired the web dashboard Credits section into the section carousel
